Reflections: An Internet Spiritual Marketing Site

This extract is taken from one of my earlier endeavours into web site marketing - late 2002. But even then I was leaning heavily towards promoting the spiritual principles of growing your own successful internet business.

The following extract first appeared in one of my weekly newsletters and highlights my growing awareness with the power of "beingness" and "now presence"

REGULAR FEATURE

Spiritual websites –"The Power of NOW"– Eckhart Tolle

Every issue we feature a new spiritual related website. Inline with our philosophy at Sekwa.com we believe achieving personal growth is just as important and can be directly linked to the growth and maintenance of a successful online business.

Excerpts from Eckhart Tolle's website: "THE POWER of NOW"

What is the power of Now?

None other than the power of your presence, your consciousness liberated from thought forms.

So deal with the past on the level of the present. The more attention you give to the past, the more you energize it, and the more likely you are to make a "self" out of it.

Don't misunderstand: attention is essential, but not to the past. Give attention to the present; give attention to your behavior, to your reactions, moods, thoughts, emotions, fears, and desires as they occur in the present.

There's the past in you. If you can be present enough to watch all those things, not critically or analytically but nonjudgementally, then you are dealing with the past and dissolving it through the power of your presence. You find yourself by coming into the present.

==================================================

.....So break the old pattern of present-moment denial and present-moment resistance. Make it your practice to withdraw attention from past and future whenever they are not needed. Step out of the time dimension as much as possible in everyday life.

If you find it hard to enter the Now directly, start by observing the habitual tendency of your mind to want to escape from the Now. You will observe that the future is usually imagined as either better or worse than the present.

If the imagined future is better, it gives you hope or pleasurable anticipation. If it is worse, it creates anxiety. Both are illusory ....

==================================================

.....The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some superhuman accomplishment, and the ego likes to keep it that way, but it is simply your natural state of felt oneness with Being. It is a state of connectedness with something immeasurable and indestructible, something that, almost paradoxically, is essentially you and yet is much greater than you.

It is finding your true nature beyond name and form. The inability to feel this connectedness gives rise to the illusion of separation, from yourself and from the world around you. You then perceive yourself, consciously or unconsciously, as an isolated fragment. Fear arises, and conflict within and without becomes the norm. .....

The 18 Remembrances

Ok. This is my first post since setting up this new blog Its dedicated to greater spiritual awareness and understanding which, I believe, is now coming into a generally accepted worldview. Over the next coming years our awareness and understanding of many things will increase and expand exponentially. This will dramatically shift and enhance our personal views and beliefs. Its all about remembrance and waking up to what we've purposely forgotten but really already knew

The following is a list from a book in the "...Conversations with God" series.

"Home with God" explains the full meaning behind what we have come to describe and know as "Death". This is fully consistent with information channeled from Bashar. (See below)

The 18 Remembrances

  1. Dying is something you do for you

  2. You are the cause of your own death – This is always true no matter where or how you die

  3. You cannot die against your will

  4. No path back home is better than any other path

  5. Death is never a tragedy it is always a gift

  6. You and God are one there is no separation between you

  7. Death does not exist

  8. You cannot change Ultimate Reality, but you can change your experience of it

  9. It is the desire of All That Is to Know Itself in Its Own Experience. This is the reason for all of life

  10. Life is eternal

  11. The timing and circumstances of death are always perfect

  12. The death of every person always serves the agenda of every other person who is aware of it. That is why they are aware of it! Therefore, no death (and no life) is ever “wasted”. No one ever dies in vain

  13. Birth and death are the same thing

  14. You are continually in the act of creation, in life and in death

  15. There is no such thing as the end of evolution

  16. Death is reversible

  17. In death you will be greeted by all of your loved ones – those who have died before you and those who will die after you

  18. Free choice is the act of pure creation, the signature of God, and your gift, your glory, and your power forever and ever.
